IPBN / AICEP join forces to develop further trade and business between Portugal and Ireland
28 February 2018. This date was really significant for the IPBN as we signed a formal Agreement with AICEP Portugal Global to cooperate together in stimulating trade and investment both ways between Ireland and Portugal .
AICEP is the Portuguese investment agency with responsibility for stimulating trade and economic activity, similar to the IDA and Enterprise Ireland. This Protocol is a very important step in establishing our relevance and forging links between Portugal and Ireland
"Ireland is an increasingly important market for Portugal and this is a good opportunity to work together with companies," said AICEP President Luís Castro Henriques.
IPBN Chairman Tony Boyle said that "Irish companies want Portuguese partners and vice versa." "We will be happy when we see more investment. We see positive signs," he said. The Irish Ambassador to Portugal H.E. Orla Tunney stressed the “good relations between the two countries and that now is a "good time to strengthen ties".
