Special news from the Web Summit from Invest Braga and Startup Braga whom you will remember were the host of our conference in May in Braga. A historic moment for Braga! Braga, one of the oldest cities in Europe with over 2,000 years of history, has now been recognized as the European Rising Innovative City of 2024 at the iCapital Awards — announced at Web Summit 2024.

IPBN member Patricia Casaburi from Global Citizen Solutions announced the World's Most Powerful Passports at the Web Summit 2024. "Global Citizen Solutions (GCS), a leading firm specializing in global mobility and second citizenship solutions, has unveiled its highly anticipated 2024 Global Passport Index. This innovative ranking system goes beyond traditional passport rankings, offering a comprehensive and multidimensional assessment of a country's attractiveness for those seeking second citizenship or residency."

IPBN member Sandra Pereira e Pinto said, "CE Consulting Portugal was present at the 3rd Edition Tourism Conference organized by Ireland Portugal Business Network. The panel of guests was fantastic and raised the quality of this event, which took place at WOW Porto, the cultural quarter of Vila Nova de Gaia. Ireland and Portugal have become a little closer."

IPBN member Crowley Millar Solicitors is delighted to announce the expansion of its market-leading Defence Litigation department by its merger with Flanagan & Co Solicitors and welcoming Mary E. Flanagan as Partner. "Operating from the Firm’s Dublin offices, the expansion facilitates the growing demand for the Firm’s specialist knowledge in the insurance sector advising Irish and international insurers on insurance claims and coverage issues and other commercial litigation disputes."

IPBN member Marc van Gelder posted, "two properties for sale for 2 different lifestyles: a Beautifully renovated 1+1-bedroom linked villa sold together with an additional plot overlooking the golf course with an approved building project for a contemporary guesthouse with private swimming pool."

IPBN member SEE Countries shared Portuguese flavors across borders! "In October, Portugal took its gastronomy to Spain, where it took part in two important events: Chefs on Fire in Madrid and San Sebastian Gastronomika. Turismo de Portugal's objective in this action was to promote the diversity and quality of Portuguese cuisine, seeking to attract tourists and strengthen its position on the international gastronomic scene."

IPBN Board member Sharon Dehmel and IPBN member Lee Bristow shared, "We had such a great time exploring, experiencing and engaging with the amazing people at the Web Summit in Lisbon. The people on the ground, the fantastic volunteers. Startups, investors, speakers, attendees. The feedback from the Irish startups, about the support, encouragement, and how to make the most of this opportunity was inspiring."

IPBN members Alan Kearney and Kayleigh Ann Myles said, "Many thanks to everyone who has come to talk to us at the Ireland Portugal Business Network event in WOW Porto. Kayleigh-Ann Myles from Lawler Sustainability has done a fantastic job in preparing for the event and helping us get the word out that we are hiring. IPBN Board members John Paul Prior and Rachael Milne said, "Thanks to Rita Marques for organizing a fantastic visit to Livraria Lello yesterday, guided by the Lello brother’s top bookworm; Nuno, Rachael Milne PMP, DipPM, PSMI and I had a brilliant time exploring the bookstore and striking a pose with our favorite classic Irish authors. An unforgettable experience in the lead-up to the Ireland Portugal Business Network Tourism Conference this morning."

IPBN member Tom Murphy reviewed hundreds of pitches for investment in his time. He said, "If you are pitching for investment please do this."
