The IPBN is supported by the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Ireland under the ESP Grant programme |
Just as the IPBN found rest and inspiration during our time away, we hope the August break has recharged our members as we have an exciting program ahead that will surely stimulate you further as things go back to business as usual. Following in the wake of our successful IPBN business trip to Cork, it is important to note that the network will continue promoting and facilitating one-on-one introductions, which are very important to our members and assist Portuguese companies to hire and do business in Ireland, and vice versa.
Our confirmed upcoming events include masterclasses, meetups, conferences, articles, podcasts, social media expansion, and more, so we'd like you to get a taste of what to expect in the future.
On Friday, September 15 at 10h via Zoom, the network invites you to join us online to learn about B2B real estate and investment opportunities in Portugal with Patricia Casaburi and Rafael Sena from IPBN member company Global Citizen Solutions. The masterclass is entitled "Discover Which Region of Portugal is Best for Your Business" and you can read more about the event and register here. This Master Class will help you develop your knowledge and expertise in matching your business needs to the Portuguese region that will best serve your needs.
We intend to focus more effort on hosting more of these informative masterclasses in the future, so if you are interested in sharing your skillset with the network, please get in touch with Arnold at arnold.delville@ireland-portugal.com to discuss it further.
Next, the IPBN is hosting a welcome back Member Meet Member event in Lisbon on September 26 at 0930 at the Fintech House where you can catch up with familiar faces, greet new members, and meet our host Mariana Gorjão Henriques, Head of the Fintech House, who will deliver some words of welcome. This initiative of Portugal Fintech in partnership with Sítio is an ecosystem where every FinTech, RegTech, InsureTech, and Cybersecurity company in Portugal can easily interact with regulators, legislators, consultants, banks, investors, and other relevant entities. The event is sure to be an exciting one!
Further Member Meet Member events are currently being planned in the Algarve, Dublin, and Porto. Dates and locations are to be confirmed and finalized next week, so stay tuned for updates!
Next up: Save the date for a marvelous event we are planning in Coimbra that will be focused on talent and recruitment. The date is currently set for October 4, and more details will be announced shortly!
Furthermore, the IPBN has not one but two conferences in the works: One on October 25 in Porto and another in February, 2024 in Dublin! The Porto Conference will be about the Ocean at the Porto Business School auditorium and the conference in Dublin will focus on doing business in Portugal, and the innovation that one can expect across all sectors. All the details to be announced soon.
These two conferences are follow-ups to the two IPBN conferences held earlier this year: The St. Patrick's Day Sustainability Conference in Lisbon and the Tourism Conference in the Algarve in May.
After staggering positive feedback, the IPBN will also be turning more of our attention to producing podcasts and writing up more member spotlight interviews, as they have been very well received and many of our members have found them particularly useful in spreading the word about their business,
As per usual, the IPBN will continue to be very active on LinkedIn and Facebook, but now we will be posting updates on Instagram! If you have not done so already, please follow us for behind-the-scenes images, event notifications, latest news items, and more, at @ipbn_business_network.
Welcome back from the IPBN!
