Chitra Stern, CEO at Martinhal Resorts & Hotels, a partner of the IPBN's 2021 Algarve Living Series, led a landmark year in 2024, solidifying the brand’s reputation in luxury family hospitality and branded residences. Martinhal Residences won Best Residential Development 20+ Units in Portugal at the European Property Awards, while Martinhal Lisbon Oriente earned a prestigious five-star New Hotel Construction and Design award. The group also received honors at the International Property Awards and Luxury Lifestyle Awards 2024. Innovation remained central, with the launch of a family-friendly wellness concept at Martinhal Residences Spa and an AI-driven concierge platform for personalized guest experiences. These achievements reinforce Martinhal’s position as a pioneer in luxury family travel, ensuring continued growth and global recognition.
Tony Judge, CEO of Clubs to Hire, a sponsor of the IPBN's 2023 Tourism Conference, led a major shift in 2024 by transitioning from airport collections to a full concierge service, delivering golf clubs directly to clients’ hotels and resorts. This innovation boosted customer satisfaction to over 97% and drove double-digit business growth. A new, highly accurate logistics system ensured seamless service, enhancing convenience and value. With over 40,000 sets rented in 2024, the company expects a 15-20% increase in 2025, targeting 50,000 rentals. Strong client feedback and repeat business position Clubs to Hire for another successful year, reinforcing its reputation for excellence and efficiency.
Gizane Campos, PR Director at Global Citizen Solutions, leads communications for the international investment migration firm specializing in visa and relocation solutions across Portugal, the UK, the Caribbean, Malta, Greece, and Spain. She told us that in 2024, the firm launched its Global Intelligence Unit, a dedicated team of data analysts producing in-depth research on global mobility, investment migration, and relocation trends. Their reports on digital nomadism, retirement, and education reached audiences across five continents. A strategic press campaign expanded its global presence, achieving an impressive 2.8 billion users in media outreach, reinforcing the firm’s position as a leader in investment migration.
Mark Javed, Executive Director of INNOVATE360 LDA, led a transformative 2024, marked by 3x business growth and a revamped digital presence. This success reflects client trust, service excellence, and the firm’s commitment to seamless online accounting, company formation, and corporate solutions across Portugal. The October 3rd website relaunch introduced an intuitive platform, enhancing global accessibility and client experience. These achievements solidify INNOVATE360’s reputation as a tech-driven, 5-star-rated firm, paving the way for sustained growth, expanded reach, and continued innovation in delivering top-tier corporate services.
Further, Sam Marchetti, Founder of ConsortiaCo, led the creation of Ireland’s first Impact Trading Platform, earning recognition as SDG Champions by the Department of Environment, Climate, and Communication. This platform enables organizations to secure more public sector contracts while enhancing social value and supporting disadvantaged communities. ConsortiaCo continues to drive innovation in public sector tendering, SME growth, and corporate sustainability, reinforcing its commitment to social impact and sustainable business practices. Tony Redondo, Director of Cosmos Currency Exchange Ltd, helped U.S. clients Toni and Donald (who discovered his services on ‘The Chris Voss Show’ podcast in 2023) successfully purchase a holiday retreat in Portugal after previous failed attempts due to banking transfer restrictions. The couple discovered Cosmos at a property exhibition and explained their struggle: their U.S. bank required an in-person visit to transfer funds, making remote transactions impossible. Tony guided them through Cosmos’ seamless process, ensuring compliance with FCA regulations. Using Cosmos’ U.S.-based collection account, Toni and Donald transferred their funds domestically, avoiding bank restrictions. Tony then monitored exchange rates, converting their dollars to euros at optimal moments within their preferred timeframe. The funds were securely sent to their Portuguese solicitor’s account, allowing them to complete the purchase in September 2024. With Cosmos, what seemed impossible became effortless. Toni and Donald are now happily renovating their new property, proving that Cosmos delivers smooth, efficient currency transfers for international buyers. Lee Bristow, CEO of Dawn Horizon Limited, led a transformative year in 2024 with the launch of a new company dedicated to AI governance.
