To follow up on our conversation with Daniel Traça, Dean of Nova SBE, we are sharing here a recent article that Daniel published in the Portuguese magazine PREMIO. In this article, Daniel argues that Portugal is on a path to success in higher education. The percentage of young people between the ages of thirty and thirty-four with complete higher education increased from 11.1% in 2000 to 36.2% in 2019.
However, the difficulty in responding to a symbiotic generation with technology and social media, and in developing their skills for a career in companies facing huge challenges of huge size, complexity, uncertainty and volatility, is something new and requires renovation and innovation from Portuguese universities.
